A Pacific Northwest native, Phil Wilson is an Emmy Award winning filmmaker with an M.F.A. in Film/TV Production from Asbury University and an M.A. in Film, TV and New Media Production from San Diego State University. His work has screened at film festivals in Hollywood, San Diego, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Jose and Tacoma. It has also appeared on The CW, Comcast, YFC.net and Hallmarkchannel.com. He has developed feature films, worked with Emmy-winning directors, and freelanced as a producer, director, DP and editor for over ten years.

Specializing in documentaries for non-profits, Phil has created compelling work for the US Navy, the United Way, Children of the Nations, JDRF, Huntington University, Olympic College, The Benaroya Research Institute, the City of Peoria, Youth for Christ USA, and #1 NY Times Bestselling author Debbie Macomber. He has also freelanced for agencies like Voda Studios, Translight Media, Milkman Media, and Traverse Agency.

Phil is currently the Program Director and Assistant Professor of Film Production at Huntington University's new 30,000 sq ft Center for Digital Media Arts in Arizona.

During his tenure, the Center has earned 16 Official Selections to the Phoenix Film Festival (largest film fest in Arizona) 35 Student Production Awards at the Rocky Mountain Emmys, and 33 Student and Faculty Awards at the Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts in Las Vegas.

Huntington University Arizona was recently ranked #5 in the nation (out of 170 participating colleges and universities) in the Film/Video category by the Broadcast Education Association (in just its 7th year of operations).
